Brooklyn Bowl was founded in 2009. Owned by Peter Shapiro, it is a bowling alley, restaurant and music venue in one. Apart from bowling the venue is also known for its musical performers and green construction. It is one of the few bowling alleys that has LEED certification and pin stopper equipment that use 75% less energy than regular pin stoppers. Recycled rubber tires were used to build the concert stage and all lighting is LED. The other materials in the place are also made from recycled materials. Locations in London and Las Vegas have been opened.
